The growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) is pushing cities and companies to rethink how they supply power to charging stations — and solar panels are emerging as a game-changer in this transformation. By harnessing sunlight, solar-powered EV charging stations offer a sustainable and renewable energy source that reduces dependency on fossil fuels and the traditional power grid. This shift is helping to create a cleaner, more energy-independent future for transportation.
Solar EV charging stations bring numerous environmental benefits. Since they generate electricity from a renewable source, they produce zero greenhouse gas emissions during operation. This makes them an excellent companion to electric vehicles, which themselves are designed to reduce pollution. When both the vehicle and the charger are clean, the environmental impact of transportation is minimized dramatically — a vital step in combating climate change.
Solar street lights are revolutionizing urban infrastructure by offering a sustainable, energy-efficient, and cost-effective alternative to conventional street lighting. These systems harness solar energy through photovoltaic panels during the day, store it in batteries, and automatically illuminate streets after dark. This shift not only reduces reliance on fossil fuels and the power grid but also significantly lowers carbon emissions, helping cities work towards their environmental and sustainability goals.
One of the biggest advantages of solar street lighting is its long-term cost efficiency. While the initial investment may be higher than traditional lighting systems, the operating costs are considerably lower. Since they generate their own electricity, there’s no need to pay for grid power. Additionally, modern LED lights used in solar systems are energy-efficient and have a long lifespan, requiring minimal maintenance. Over time, this results in a strong return on investment, especially for municipalities managing large infrastructure budgets.
Solar street lights are particularly valuable in off-grid or hard-to-reach areas. They are ideal for rural zones, disaster-prone regions, and newly developing urban localities where grid access is limited or unavailable. Since they operate independently, these lights continue functioning during power outages, providing reliable lighting in critical situations. Their ability to function without extensive wiring or trenching makes them a practical choice for expanding cities or temporary installations.
This post is for people who donot understand how to connect the inverter to the internet. Different brand inverters have their own set of steps and applications to connect the inverter to the internet. So I request you to not get confused these steps with other branded inverters.
Connecting an inverter to internet is very important, Why? Because
Note: We need strong or good wifi signals near the inverter for seamless data transmission from inverter to the app database.
Download the Solar man smart app here playstore , Appstore. on customer mobile or your mobile.
This is the Screen you will be seeing after entering the plant details. In this Image we have given plant name as start fuel station.
Tap + on top right corner.
Now tap on Add logger, which looks like a walkie talkie. On that logger we have the necessary details like the QR code, SN number and password.
Tap on the plant name you have created.
Now add the SN number or scan the QR code.
Now Close the app and try to login again. At the time of login tap local mode which is on the bottom and scan the QR code again which is on the Logger to see the logger network name.
After the scan you will see what is the logger network name(like the one in the image below).
Now we need to connect to this network from our phone wifi. If you observe carefully above and below networks are same.
Connect to this network with the password provided on the logger stick.
Now go back to local mode and tap next
Open Chrome browser and enter the below ip address in the chrome link and use the given credentials.
Note: Make sure you are connected to logger wifi network only.
Address : 10.10.100.254
username : admin
Password : admin
After the login, tap on wizard.(Like the one given in the image). In this step we will connect the inverter to the customer wifi network.
Now after you go into the wizard, you will be shown the list of wifi networks in that range. select the customer wifi network and enter the password(you need to take the password from the customer).
Just go ahead and tap next until it is connected.
After connecting to the wifi password the logger on the inverter will give a green light on the net just like the one in the image below.
After the wifi is connected, now open the solar man app to check if the app is being updated or not. If it is updated you will see the screen like the below one.
If you come to this screen with numbers, you have successfully installed the app and connect the solar system to the internet. Now with these login details the customer can check his/her solar plant power generation from any corner of the world if he has an internet connection.
